Lack of professional Wedding DJs in Brent

The recession has hit many businesses hard in Brent, especially the entertainment industry with many DJs, bands and performers having to stop trading.

Wedding DJs seem to have suffered very badly with many leaving the profession all together.

Wedding DJs often spend thousands of pounds on records, CDs, amps, lights and equipment, then there is travel and advertising to think and if bookings are drying up and banks are refusing to lend money to businesses then there is no choice but to hang up their headphones and start looking for something else to do.

Another factor in the disappearance of wedding DJs is the ipod factor'. This is where couples planning their wedding decide to create a play list of their favourite songs and then plug an MP3 player into the venue's speakers. At the moment there are currently many flaws with this, one being that songs are not mixed into one another so that there is an awkward pause after each song which would eventually cause your guests to give up the dance floor, something that you probably want to avoid!

Another problem with choosing the MP3 option is that generally DJs bring with them an array of exciting lights, if you choose this option you probably have the choice between total darkness and the full bright lights of your venue neither of which sound like a good option to create a party atmosphere!

Also DJs have the ability to read the crowd and change the style of music accordingly, last time I checked MP3 players haven't yet got that option, when they do they'll be a lot of mobile DJs looking for alternative employment.

Another problem that has occurred is people not choosing local DJs for their wedding.

Here's a few reasons why choosing a local DJ for your wedding is a smart move.

They'll know your venue

They will probably know (and could even have performed) at most wedding venues in your area. They may even know the manager of the venue and how and where to get their equipment in, which creates peace of mind for the couple getting married as this is one less thing to worry about.

Help your local economy.

Choosing a DJ from Brent for your wedding in Brent will help boost your local economy and encourage people to start up other professional services that could benefit your local area.

Get references from people you know

Your local wedding DJ may also have performed for some of your friend's weddings and if for any reason they aren't very good you'll probably hear feedback from friends and neighbours.

Try before you guy

Also being local they may play regularly at the local bar or pub which means it's very easy for couples to check them out.

If you're getting married in Brent in the near future and wondering what to do about your evening entertainment please think twice about just having an MP3 player and choose a DJ and make sure it's a local one!
